What is SVV Network (SVV)?
Ssv.network is a decentralized, open source network designed for ETH staking, built on Shared Secret Validator (SSV) technology. Also known as Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), ssv.network allows splitting and distributing a validator key into multiple KeyShares, facilitating the operation of an Ethereum validator on multiple untrusted nodes.

Benefits of ssv.network
- Active-active redundancy and fault tolerance: A validator must always be online to earn ETH rewards by signing transactions. However, in Ethereum's current setup, the validator must operate on a single node, which creates a single point of failure. By splitting the validator key into multiple KeyShares and distributing them across multiple nodes, ssv.network ensures that, if one node fails, the other nodes can maintain the validator's operation, creating a seamless and fully decentralized betting environment.
- Non-custodial and secure ETH betting: ssv.network allows the validator key to be generated and split into multiple KeyShares that are then distributed to non-custodial nodes. This distribution ensures that users do not have to hand over their validation keys, which improves security.
- Decentralization and diversity: Independent operators, spread around the world, maintain the ssv.network infrastructure. These operators choose the client software and hardware infrastructure, which reduces risks and improves the health of the Ethereum blockchain.
