What is Trust Wallet Token (TWT)?

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is a cryptocurrency that is used as a utility token in the Trust Wallet wallet. Trust Wallet is a decentralized, non-custodied cryptocurrency wallet that was acquired by Binance in 2018.

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) was launched in March 2020.

The founders of Trust Wallet are Viktor Radchenko and Ruslan Konviser. Viktor Radchenko is the CEO and founder of Trust Wallet, while Ruslan Konviser is the CTO and co-founder of the company.

Prior to co-founding Trust Wallet, Radchenko worked as a software developer at a number of technology companies, including financial technology (fintech) company Zero Financial, while Konviser worked as a software developer at a number of technology companies, including cybersecurity company McAfee.

In 2018, Trust Wallet was acquired by Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, and became the official wallet of Binance. Since then, Trust Wallet has continued to develop and improve its decentralized wallet platform and has integrated a number of additional services, such as a decentralized exchange and a staking platform for cryptocurrencies.

The TWT token is used as an incentive for Trust Wallet users, who can earn TWT by performing certain actions within the wallet, such as inviting friends or making trades on the wallet's integrated decentralized platform.

In addition to its use in the Trust Wallet, the TWT token is also used as a governance token on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain, on which the Trust Wallet is based.

The total supply of TWT is 1,000,000,000 tokens and was distributed as follows: 90% to Trust Wallet users through a series of events and reward programs, 5% went to a development fund for the improvement of the wallet and integration with other services, and the remaining 5% went to the founders and development team.

It was created as a utility token, intended to give value to users, and primarily was not intended to be used outside of the core ecosystem.
